These terms apply to your use of dmmidwest.ie (the "Site"), operated by Steven McNamara, trading as DM Mid West Web Development, based in Limerick, Ireland. By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
Use of This Site
You're welcome to browse the Site, view the portfolio and demo work, and get in touch through the contact form. You agree not to misuse the Site — for example, by attempting to disrupt it, scrape it at scale, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or use it to send spam through the contact form.
Design Demos Are Not Real Businesses
The "Projects" section of the Site includes design demos (café, gym, salon, garage and landscaping concepts, and the Parsec shop preview). These are fictional, self-directed design and development exercises built to demonstrate ability — they are not real businesses, and any names, products, prices, stock levels, reviews or contact details shown on them are placeholder content, not genuine offers. Real client projects are labelled and linked to the client's own live website.
The Parsec demo has a working PHP/MySQL backend (accounts, cart and checkout) for demonstration purposes only. No real payments are processed, and no card details should be entered anywhere on it.
Client Project Work
Enquiries submitted through the contact form are the start of a conversation, not a binding commitment on either side. Any actual web development engagement — scope, price, timeline, ownership of the finished site and its content — is agreed separately, in writing, before work begins. Nothing on this Site constitutes a quote or a contract.
Live sites linked from the "Projects" section (for example T&D Fords Fish & Chips and RPK Constructions) are owned and operated by those respective businesses; this Site only links to them as portfolio examples.
Intellectual Property
The design, code, layout and written content of this Site belong to Steven McNamara unless otherwise credited. You may view and share pages of the Site, but you may not copy, resell or reuse the Site's design or code as your own without permission.
No Warranty
This Site and its content, including the demo sites, are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. I take reasonable care to keep the Site accurate, secure and available, but I don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose beyond showcasing my work.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I won't be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this Site. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it can't legally be limited, such as for fraud.
Links to Other Sites
This Site links to third-party sites — client websites, social media profiles and services such as FormSubmit.co and Google. I'm not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of those external sites.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes relating to them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
